We are looking to hire a talented and motivated business development executive to help us maintain and build on our excellent and loyal network of clients. The ideal candidate will have some business development experience and/or qualifications, ideally in a professional services setting. A clear, jargon-free approach to communication is essential as you will have responsibility for a great deal of the firm’s public output. An understanding of law is useful but not essential.

The role is based in our Central London offices, however, the firm operates an agile working policy which will apply to the role. Ability to be present for firm events in the mornings and evenings where required is essential. The role will involve some administrative tasks, including arranging meetings and managing the firm’s business development pipeline. Candidates seeking flexible or part-time working will be considered and are welcome to apply, providing they can accommodate business needs to attend certain events. Salary is competitive and the successful candidate will also be eligible for performance bonuses.

Responsibilities:

– Working with a team to identify marketing and thought leadership topics

– Organising and coordinating marketing events

– Managing and collating firm contact lists

– Drafting content for our website

– Managing the firm’s social media outlets and content

– Manage legal directory and award submissions

– Organising business development meetings and trips

– Identifying potential clients and referrers to target

– Preparing pitch documents and templates

– Providing support to senior partners on the organisation of meetings and business development activities, including some diary management

– Operating the firm’s client feedback programme

– Research into clients and potential clients

Skills

– Excellent written English and a clear, jargon-free writing style

– Excellent IT skills, including command of the major social media networks and how they operate, Excel and Powerpoint

– Project management experience is an advantage, as is a willingness to learn project management skills

– Strong interpersonal skills and ability to relate to senior individuals client-side

– Language skills an advantage but not essential
