“Lorna’s excellence in a range of intellectual property areas, as well as media law, adds a great deal to the firm’s overall reputation management capabilities. She’s technically brilliant, loved by clients and colleagues and always brings an extra dimension to our thinking. Her appointment as a Director is well deserved.’

Lorna has in-depth experience, advising media and IP rich businesses on a range of issues, including the protection, exploitation and enforcement of their intellectual property rights and data. Her work in these areas led to recognition in 2010 by The Lawyer magazine as one of “the most talented and promising legal practitioners at work today”. She has also featured regularly on the BBC and publications such as Entertainment Law Review and World Intellectual Property Review. Prior to joining Himsworth Scott, she spent 13 years at Taylor Wessing, where she worked for several leading publishers and high net worth clients around the world.

Matt says of Steven’s appointment:

Steven is a natural fit for us. He has a great track record and has previously won recognition for his work as a winner of an award for reputation lawyer of the year at CityWealth’s Future Leaders Awards in 2016.

“After working together during our shared time at Schillings, it really is great to have him back in the family again and to have his expertise available to our clients.”

Prior to Steven’s move, he spent over a decade practising at leading media, sport and entertainment law firms Schillings, more recently, Harbottle & Lewis. During this time, he has worked with a range of private and corporate clients helping them to protect their reputations and privacy of their information by taking both proactive and reactive steps in order to achieve their objectives. His work mainly revolves around defamation, privacy, data protection, confidence and harassment. The work he has undertaken in the Middle East, across Europe and in the UK means he is at the forefront of litigation safeguarding clients’ reputations.

He is recognised by Legal 500 as a ‘Next Generation Lawyer’ in the field of Reputation Management.
